We are a non-profit alliance representing Mongolia’s most trusted car rental operators. Our mission is simple: to protect travelers by ensuring every member company delivers outstanding service, well-maintained vehicles, and reliable support throughout your Mongolian adventure.
At MonCar, we ensure that every member meets strict safety and operational standards. These requirements protect self-drive tourists visiting Mongolia and guarantee a reliable, professional rental experience.
All members must meet the following criteria:
Legal Registration: Must be registered entities in Mongolia.
Fleet Size: Maintain a minimum of five vehicles.
Vehicle Age: Vehicles must not be older than 4.5 years for at least half of the fleet.
Mileage Limits:
Sedans: up to 200,000 km
4×4 vehicles: up to 250,000 km
Insurance Coverage: Full and valid insurance must be provided.
24-Hour Assistance: Companies must provide round-the-clock support for breakdowns or accidents.
Vehicle Maintenance: Regular servicing and maintenance to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
We actively monitor and address issues with vehicles rented from any member company.
Supported by the Mongolian Government, Ministry of Tourism, our members benefit from marketing initiatives and regulatory oversight.
Our standards are designed to protect both travelers and compliant vehicle rental companies, ensuring peace of mind for every self-drive adventure.
